AI NARRATIVE INTELLIGENCE
AI is Not Neutral
For those bringing AI into what they’re building, and what it’s doing in return.
Where AI Gets its Narrative
AI is already informing communication, leadership, recruitment, how people and performance are evaluated, customer experience, visibility, representation, organisational pace and workplace culture.
And the narratives moving through those systems come from a myriad of places. The people building them and the assumptions, patterns, worldviews and decisions they embed. The histories and data they’re trained on. The human behaviour they learn from.
It can also pick up what already exists in the organisations and environments using it, including the biases, hierarchies and assumptions we may not realise we’ve made normal.
It reflects those things back through outputs, recommendations, decisions and everyday interactions.
AI is Now Infrastructure
As AI becomes part of communication, onboarding, recruitment, customer interaction, leadership workflows, internal systems, operations and decision-making, its narratives become part of how things get done.
Some come with the systems you adopt. Others come from your own data, decisions, prompts, behaviours and ways of working.
Once those narratives become automated, they can be repeated at a scale and consistency that human behaviour alone could not produce.
This is not always intentional. Without awareness, you risk reinforcing narratives you have never examined.
An assumption can become a default.
A bias can become a rule.
A pattern can become a process.
What Can Be Built into AI
Who Matters and Who Gets Ignored
Bias, exclusion and hierarchy that influence who gets heard, who gets believed, who is seen as capable or credible, who gets recommended, and who gets overlooked.
Representation and Identity
Race, gender, visibility, whose work gets noticed, whose knowledge is treated as credible and who gets pushed to the sidelines.
What Continues into the Future
Historical patterns, inequalities, assumptions and biases that AI can learn from, reproduce and make part of a future we don’t want to create.
Human and Cultural Consequences
Pressure, treating people like tasks, emotional distance, chronic stress, dehumanisation and what kind of behaviour becomes acceptable.
Narrative and Worldview
Power, urgency, leadership assumptions, definitions of success, whose experience matters and whose version of the truth becomes the rule.
What is AI Narrative Intelligence?
AI Narrative Intelligence™ examines the narratives operating through the AI systems being used in what you’re building.
We look at what those systems bring with them, what they are picking up from you, what they are reinforcing through everyday use and what that means for the people, culture, decisions and experiences being shaped around them.
The work makes visible the assumptions, biases, hierarchies, values and worldviews becoming embedded through AI, so you can decide what should be challenged, changed or intentionally carried forward.
AI is already participating in the narrative of what you’re building. The question is what you are allowing it to reinforce.
Questions Worth Asking
01
What hidden assumptions are being built into your AI systems?
02
What forms of bias, exclusion or hierarchy are becoming automatic rules?
03
Whose worldview is becoming part of the infrastructure of what you’re building?
04
Which patterns from your past are you at risk of automating into your future?
05
What emotional conditions and workplace pressures are being amplified?
06
What do you actually want your AI systems to reinforce?
07
What cultural narratives are being reinforced through your prompts, workflows and operational structures?
AI NARRATIVE INTELLIGENCE IN PRACTICE
Areas of AI Narrative Work
01
AI Narrative DNA™
An engagement that defines the narrative foundation your AI environments should operate from.
02
AI Narrative Audit™
A diagnostic engagement that reveals the narratives your AI systems are currently transmitting.
03
AI Narrative Alignment™
As AI becomes part of recruitment, onboarding, workflows and customer interaction, what your systems do can begin to move away from what you intended and even believe.
04
AI Narrative Training™
A capability programme that builds narrative awareness across the people using AI in what you’re building.
Why this Matters
AI can automate more than tasks.
It can automate assumptions. Bias. Hierarchy. Exclusion. Ways of seeing people. Definitions of good performance. Ideas about who matters, what matters and what should happen next.
And because AI operates at scale, those narratives can move through what you’re building faster and more consistently than they ever could through individual behaviour alone.
Some will come from the technology. Some may already belong to us.
Either way, once they become part of the system, they become harder to see and easier to repeat.
That is why Narrative Intelligence matters.
